Derek Jeter joins BetMGM as brand ambassador in multiyear partnership

BetMGM has announced that Baseball Hall of Famer Derek Jeter will join its growing roster of brand ambassadors as part of a new multiyear partnership.
The former New York Yankees shortstop will feature prominently in BetMGM’s national marketing campaigns and help champion the operator’s responsible gambling initiatives.
The agreement will see Jeter take a leading role in upcoming promotions, including the “Legendary Plays” campaign set to launch on July 15.
In addition, BetMGM Casino will roll out an exclusive Derek Jeter-themed slot game, marking the first time an online casino game will feature a current or former professional baseball player.
Commenting on the new deal, Casey Hurbis, Chief Marketing Officer at BetMGM, stated: “As BetMGM’s brand continues to evolve, we could not think of a better baseball ambassador to add to our Mount Rushmore of legendary athletes than Derek Jeter.
“’The Captain’s’ universal appeal and proven track record of excellence, both on and off the field, will provide players with extraordinary experiences only available at BetMGM.”

The partnership announcement comes as BetMGM continues expanding its entertainment offerings. The operator recently launched a Friends-themed slot game developed by Atlantic Digital in Michigan and New Jersey, marking the first Friends-branded iGaming product.
Shortly prior to this, BetMGM also partnered with Marriott Bonvoy for a fantasy football sweepstakes featuring a draft party hosted by former NFL quarterback Matt Ryan.
