This new deal also sees the operator become the Professional Women's Hockey League's in-app streaming partner.

Key points:

- FanDuel is now the official sportsbook and in-app streaming partner of the PWHL

- The operator will now stream up to 90 PWHL games per season via its app

FanDuel has entered into a new collaboration that sees the operator become the official sportsbook and in-app streaming partner of the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL).

As part of the new partnership arrangement, FanDuel will now begin streaming up to 90 PWHL regular season matches and playoff games via its app. Novelty markets, same-game parlays and prop bets will be available for player’s use, and can be applied to the PWHL games on display.

Moreover, the operator has specified that this partnership has been developed with a view to responsible gaming, as PWHL fans will also have access to a range of RG tools such as deposit and wager limits in order to encourage responsible play.

Commenting on the new arrangement, General Manager of FanDuel Canada, Dale Hooper, said, "FanDuel is proud to partner with the PWHL and support the league's incredible athletes. This partnership is about creating a new era of fan engagement – one that brings hockey closer to fans while helping grow the visibility of women's professional sports."

Additional recent hockey-related news last month saw the National Hockey League (NHL) enter into a collaboration that allows Veikkaus to air a higher number of hockey games for fans in Finland. This news came in the wake of an additional licensing agreement between Inspired Entertainment and the NHL in early October.

Good to know: Last week, FanDuel and a commercial affiliate of the MLBPA reached a settlement agreement as part of their ongoing lawsuit

Earlier this month, FanDuel also brokered an additional similar arrangement which saw the operator become the exclusive pregame sportsbook partner for Netflix’s NFL live games, which will be shown on Christmas Day.

This sportsbook deal closely followed another commercial partnership between FanDuel and Diamond Sports Group. More recently, the operator also extended its long-standing partnership with Evolution.
