Rivalry announces the election of six directors
The election results came from the company’s shareholder meeting on June 28.
Rivalry Corp, an esports betting operator, has announced the election of directors of the company: Steven Isenberg, Stephen Rigby, Steven Salz, Kirstine Stewart, Ryan White and Kevin Wimer.
The election results stem from the company’s annual general and special meeting of shareholders, which was held on June 28.
Isenberg is a Co-Founder of Rivalry and has more than 25 years of experience in Canadian capital markets. He sits on the local advisory committee of TSX Venture Exchange and is also a director of Urbanfund Corp., a TSX Venture Exchange listed company. He is Founder and CEO of M Partners.
Rigby most recently served as the President and CEO of the Ontario Lottery and the Gaming Corporation. Before that, he was the National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of Canada.
Salz is Co-Founder of Rivalry. He competed in his first esports tournament a decade ago with Major League Gaming. He began his career with a brief stint in the defense industry, then worked in asset management at Scotiabank, then as an Analyst at a boutique investment bank.
Stewart got her start in television broadcasting, rising to become head of Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. She then transitioned to VP of North American Media at Twitter. Most recently she was Head of Future of Media at the World Economic Forum and is currently the CRO of Pex, a digital rights technology company.
White is a Co-Founder of Rivalry and the company’s CTO. Most of his career has been in entrepreneurial initiatives, although he recently acted as Head of Interactive Dev for the global innovation and strategy firm Idea Couture.
Wimer is a co-founder of Rivalry and the company’s COO. He was a professional gamer in the early 2000s, top 10 worldwide in Unreal Tournament and top tier in StarCraft. He funded and built six successful internet companies. His particular expertise is in customer acquisition.
