Las Vegas wedding chapel offers free weddings for couples named Taylor and Travis on Super Bowl Sunday.

Chapel of the Flowers, a Las Vegas-based wedding chapel, got caught up in the excitement of Super Bowl Sunday by announcing it will offer free wedding ceremonies to couples named Taylor and Travis.

In honor of the Super Bowl, which took place in Las Vegas this year and saw Travis Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22, the chapel offered the opportunity to secure a free wedding on Sunday.

This, of course, was fuelled by the engagement rumors that have followed famous couple Kelcy and Taylor Swift in recent months.

The chapel’s offer even extended to the famous couple themselves, inviting them to visit the chapel after the Big Game.

Chapel CEO Donne Kerestic commented on the timely offer: "We're ready to make the Big Game even bigger for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce with a wedding in one of our famous chapels!

“If they're game to turn their 'Big Day' into a Vegas extravaganza, we've got an aisle prepared and ready to go. Vegas weddings are the real MVP!

"For those not eligible for a Super Bowl ring, how about a game-day wedding with some Las Vegas Bling? If your name is Taylor and you’d like to get married to your partner Travis after the big game, this is your chance to score a free Vegas wedding!”

The chance to win a Vegas wedding on Super Bowl weekend stretched beyond those lucky enough to have the same names as the famous couple.

The chapel invited couples to upload a photo of themselves kissing beneath the ‘Married in Las Vegas’ sign and tag Chapel of the Flowers on Instagram, with one lucky pair winning a free wedding ceremony. The competition is open until Valentine’s Day this year.

Research by the chapel revealed that searches for Las Vegas weddings skyrocketed by 354% on Sunday.

Interest in the Super Bowl was higher than ever this year, driven by a fascination with celebrity couple Swift and Kelce.

The estimated number of bets on the game rose by 35% compared to last year’s Big Game, with a total of $23.1bn expected to be wagered on the sporting event.

Taylor Swift-themed bets appeared all over the country. DraftKings Sportsbook in Oregon offered themed bets named after the star’s well-known songs.
