Underdog appoints Rishi Garg as CFO, Kimberly Pointer Corbett as CMO

Underdog has added two senior executives as it prepares for what it describes as a new phase of expansion.
The company has appointed Rishi Garg as Chief Financial Officer and Kimberly Pointer Corbett as Chief Marketing Officer.
Garg will take responsibility for finance, corporate development and capital strategies in the company.
His background includes senior roles at Twitter and Square, as well as nearly a decade as a partner at the Mayfield Fund, where he focused on consumer technology companies.
At Underdog, he will be tasked with aligning the company’s financial strategies with its plans to broaden its offering across fantasy, betting and prediction markets.
Corbett comes with over a decade of marketing leadership in the games sector, most recently as senior vice president of digital publishing at Warner Bros Games.
She has also held leadership roles at Zynga and Kabam, which focused on strategies in user acquisition, lifecycle management and analytics.
Her role at Underdog will be to develop data-driven marketing programmes that can scale alongside new products.

The appointments come as Underdog continues to build out its infrastructure following a $70m Series C funding round led by Spark Capital earlier this year, which valued the business at more than $1.3bn. “Our formula to win is simple: invest in people and product, and we bring in leaders who know what it takes to build the type of company we want to be,” stated Jeremy Levine, Founder and CEO of Underdog.
