Pennsylvania April revenue sees iGaming increase of 21.3%
Overall revenue up marginally, at 3.3%, for the Keystone State.
Pennsylvania has reported a mixture of increases and decreases across different verticals for April.
Statewide total revenue increased by 3.3% year-over-year to $476.7m, with Hollywood Casino Morgantown presenting the biggest spike in revenue of 32.41% to $6.7m; and Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin showing the biggest drop of total revenue across the board at 22.79%, going down to $1.6m.
Sports wagering total revenue (including total handle, retail revenue and online revenue) was up 10% to $37m. IGaming (internet slots, internet table games and internet poker) generated gross revenue of $137.2m.
IGaming slot revenue was up by 24.66% to $95.6m and iGaming table game revenue was up 16.1% to $38.9m.
Casino games offered online generated gross revenue of $137.2m, an increase of 21.3%.
Statewide revenue for video gaming was down by 5.8% to $3.5m, while total revenue for fantasy contests was also on the decrease, down by 9.4% to $1.6m.
Retail table games were also down by 7.8% to $84.4m. Slot machines were also on the decline, being down 2.2% to $213m. The number of slot machines in operation in April 2023 was 25,555, compared to 26,038 at the casinos in April 2022.
Elsewhere, Michigan generated $195.7m in total revenue derived from sports betting and iGaming for April.
New Jersey, meanwhile, generated $467.2m in total gaming revenue for April.
