Operator Betsson Group has announced the acquisition of a range of Sporting Solutions’ verticals from the FDJ Group, in a bid to enhance its B2B and B2C sportsbook offerings.
Betsson has a huge LatAm presence, while Sporting Solutions also has operations in Canada.
Subject to the acquisition, Sporting Solutions’ pricing, trading and sports betting risk-management services assets are set to be transferred to Betsson Group – following 10 years of partnership between the two organizations.
As part of their longstanding partnership arrangement, Sporting Solutions has aided Betsson’s sportsbook development through the integration of its advanced pricing feeds for both pre-match and live betting.
Now, Betsson Group will be hoping that – following the acquisition – this further integration of its services will further improve its sportsbook experience for players.
Betsson Operations CEO Jesper Svensson expressed excitement around the development, saying, “We are excited to welcome the Sporting Solutions team to Betsson Group. This acquisition is a strategic fit, providing us with quality technology that is already integrated into our sportsbook product.
"It also complements our Sportsbook B2B strategy, strengthening the flexibility and scalability of Betsson’s Sportsbook offering – both key factors in the success of our B2B strategy.”
This latest announcement follows recent developments in the LatAm market for Betsson, after the operator received MINCETUR approval in June, gaining license to operate in the Peruvian market.
Following on from this, the group then brokered a partnership in the jurisdiction with GiG in July. The partnership will be primarily focused on supplying Betsson’s Inkabet content to players in Peru, after the company also acquired the Inkabet brand in 2021.
