Penn Entertainment announces groundbreaking for second hotel tower at The M Resort

The ceremony is set to take place this afternoon at 2pm PST.
Penn Entertainment is set to host a groundbreaking ceremony for the second hotel tower at M Resort.
Within this latest project, which had an estimated budget of $206m, it is expected to have 384 rooms added to the property, bringing the total to 774 rooms and suites.
There will also be expanded meeting space and updated amenities, while the company is set to announce more local partnerships at a later date.
Renovations at The M Tower are part of a larger $850m expansion project that includes other Penn properties in Nevada, Illinois and Ohio.
CEO and President of Penn Entertainment, Jay Snowden, said: “We can’t wait to begin construction on a second hotel tower at M Resort.
“This new addition will benefit from the strong demand of the Henderson locals market while providing much needed additional room capacity for group business that is drawn to our resort and amenities, including our highly successful partnership with the Las Vegas Raiders.”
VP & GM of M Resort, Hussain Mahrous, added: “We are thrilled to be celebrating this day with our team members and key stakeholders.
“We look forward to hiring new team members and expanding the wonderful offerings that make M Resort a premier destination for visitors and convention attendees from across the country.”
Last week, Penn Entertainment subsidiary Penn Interactive signed a long-term deal with Quail Hollow Club and the Wells Fargo Championship, with Penn debuting its ESPN Bet brand in North Carolina, subject to regulatory approvals.
