Playmaker signs multi-year deal with Complexity Gaming

The two will work together to bridge the gap between gaming and traditional sports content.
Social media sports and entertainment content platform Playmaker has partnered with Complexity Gaming, to “link traditional sports and gaming through content collaboration and strategic development with athletes and gamers.”
Under the terms of the multi-year agreement, Complexity will aid Playmaker with its esports and gaming channel, playmakerOP, and will give the company access to GameSquare’s full-service content studio.
Playmaker CEO Brandon Harris commented: “Given its emerging popularity among our audience, we know this is the optimal time to fully embrace esports and launch a dedicated channel.
“Complexity Gaming’s support is essential in building out this new vertical, as we now have significant connections to prominent industry tools, leaders and influencers.”
Playmaker’s platform is currently live in 21 states throughout the US, as well as the District of Columbia and in the Canadian province of Ontario. The company is poised to soon add several more states to the roster, including Ohio, Maine, Maryland and Massachusetts.
Complexity Gaming is a subsidiary of GameSquare, a North American esports organization. During its 15-year history, the group’s esports teams have won more than 140 championships in almost 30 game titles.
GameSquare CEO Justin Kenna emphasized the company’s desire to continue interacting with its fanbase and provide quality entertainment.
