Internet Vikings joins the Indian Gaming Association
Its CEO emphasized the importance of relationships with US Tribal partners.
Internet Vikings, a game hosting provider, has announced that it is now a member of the Indian Gaming Association (IGA). This strategic move will allow for long-term partnerships and introduces the B2B iGaming and online sports betting supplier to new sectors of the US iGaming market.
The company began its US expansion over three years ago, following the 2018 repeal of PASPA. It has launched operations in several regulated US markets including New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Maryland. Its most recent North American market entry was in Massachusetts, having become the first iGaming provider to obtain a license from the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
The agreement means Internet Vikings could start delivering its cloud hosting services to the IGA this summer. Internet Vikings’ rapid expansion through the US, and in its European operations, means it has been establishing new alliances globally in the last few months.
For instance, the company expanded its partnership with GAN, a B2B supplier of SaaS solutions, into 15 new states last December.
Internet Vikings Founder and CEO Rickard Vikström commented: “I think of the US iGaming and online sports betting market as complex and unique, with multiple layers to it, and each of them presents a wealth of opportunities.”
Continuing on to discuss the IGA specifically, he said: “After our team had visited the Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention in 2022, it became absolutely evident that becoming an IGA Member would be of great value.
“Native American Tribes have a long-rooted history of gaming. They are an important integral part of the US wagering tradition, and it is crucial that we find ways to support them. I look forward to working with the newly acquired partners and am optimistic that iGaming and Indian gaming traditions will join forces in the future.”
