Underdog hires responsible gaming expert as consultant
Brianne Doura-Schawohl has over a decade of experience in shaping responsible gaming policies.
Underdog, a paid fantasy sports company, has announced that Brianne Doura-Schawohl has joined in a consultancy role to bolster its integrity initiatives. This new hire comes as September – Responsible Gaming Education Month – draws to an end and her recruitment is indicative of the company’s aim to promote responsible gambling.
In her new role, Doura-Schawohl will endeavor to provide Underdog customers with a safe, fair and reliable platform. She brings with her over a decade of experience in advocacy, public policy, government and communications.
Most recently, she started her own consulting firm, Doura-Schawohl Consulting, which focuses on navigating gaming policy, addictions, disorders and disabilities, and veteran’s issues.
Prior to this, she served as Epic’s VP of US Policy and Strategic Development for Risk Management and as a Legislative Director for the National Council on Problem Gambling.
Doura-Schawohl was named as one of the ‘Top 100 lobbyists in 2021’ by the National Institute of Lobbying & Ethics. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for Kindbridge Behavioral Health.
Doura-Schawohl’s new duties will include driving Underdog’s core concepts for operations with regard to responsible gaming. This includes the development of internal policies and the execution of impactful strategic plans to increase understanding of problem gambling.
