Santa Cruz Lottery renews partnership to strengthen grassroots football programs
The provincial lottery signed a new agreement with the Association of Interior Football to expand support for community sports.
The Santa Cruz Lottery, in Argentina, has signed an agreement with the Association of Interior Football of the Province of Santa Cruz (AIFB) to continue supporting grassroots sports development in the province.
Claudia Pavez, president of the lottery, and Martín Cortés, president of AIFB, formalized the contract with the presence of Ezequiel Artieda, Secretary of State for Sports and Recreation.
The agreement adds to the multiple contributions the lottery provides to the league, including sports equipment and refereeing services. The partnership reinforces the organization’s commitment to neighborhood sports, inclusion and opportunities for young people across Santa Cruz province.
The Santa Cruz initiative mirrors similar efforts by other Argentine provincial lotteries supporting sports infrastructure and development. The Chaco Lottery has recently signed an agreement with Sportivo Charata Civil Association to fund perimeter fencing for the sports facility, which serves 160 people practicing football across all categories. Lucas Apud Masím, Lotería Chaqueña president, emphasized that strengthening infrastructure improvements throughout the territory aligns with board directives working in coordination with provincial government policies.
Another agreement by the Chaco Lottery was signed with the Águilas Rugby Club women’s team, delivering new sports equipment as part of its broader commitment to community athletics.
These partnerships demonstrate how Argentinian provincial lotteries channel revenue toward community sports development and infrastructure improvements.
The model allows lottery operators to support grassroots athletic programs while providing equipment, facilities and services that might otherwise be unavailable to neighborhood clubs and associations.
