Esports Entertainment Group bringing VIE.bet brand into Latin America
Company inks marketing partnerships with Infamous Gaming, Movistar Liga Pro Gaming.
Online gambling and esports operator Esports Entertainment Group, Inc., on Thursday said it has signed two marketing agreements that will allow it to expand its VIE.bet esports betting brand into Latin America.
EEG said it inked sponsorships deals with Infamous Gaming, one of the largest esports organizations in Peru, and the Movistar Liga Pro Gaming league, produced by Live Media Esports Entertainment, one of the fastest growing esports leagues in Latin America.
The company noted the Latin American esports market is the third-largest globally and is growing more than 17% annually.
“Our Malta license enabled us to pursue these great opportunities, and we look forward to providing further updates on expansions of VIE.bet moving forward,” said Grant Johnson, CEO of Esports Entertainment Group, in a statement. “Latin America is a big esports betting market. We are excited to work with top partners such as Infamous and Live Media Esports Entertainment to accelerate the rollout of our VIE.bet brand in the region.”
Bux Khalid Sayed, head of esports betting for Esports Entertainment Group added: “The exciting partnership between Infamous Gaming and our VIE.bet brand is a crucial first step in our expansion into Latin America. Infamous is a well-known and popular Peruvian-based esports team with rosters in titles such as Dota 2, CS:GO and Rainbow 6. Their Dota 2 team has participated in the biggest esports events on offer, including the coveted International twice. We are thrilled to partner with them as they seek to make it to the largest stage once again.”
Esports Entertainment Group and its affiliates have tapped the growth of video-gaming and esports to sign sports partnerships with professional NFL, NHL, NBA and FIFA teams. It also oversees esports tournaments.
The company has offices in New Jersey, the UK and Malta.
