Betano becomes official sponsor of 2025 Brasil Ladies Cup

The tournament will feature Palmeiras, Grêmio, Peñarol and Gimnasia y Esgrima in October.

Betting operator Betano has been confirmed as the master sponsor of the 2025 Brasil Ladies Cup, a women’s soccer tournament scheduled for October at Estádio do Canindé in São Paulo. 

This year’s competition will bring together Palmeiras, Grêmio, Peñarol (Uruguay) and Gimnasia y Esgrima (Argentina) in a knockout format consisting of two semifinals, a third-place playoff and the final.

Guilherme Figueiredo, Betano’s Commercial Director in Brazil, said the company sees the sponsorship as extending beyond the competition itself, highlighting the role of the event in promoting the women’s game and related discussions. 

He added that the operator intends to contribute its expertise while supporting sports participation as part of its social responsibility initiatives.

The tournament will also host a programme of activities during the event week, including lectures, workshops, training clinic and public debates on women’s soccer and player development. 

Organizers say such engagement aims to complement the matches and strengthen the sport’s presence in Brazil and across South America.

The Brazil Ladies Cup has previously featured clubs such as Flamengo, São Paulo, Santos, Internacional, River Plate, Atlético de Madrid and the Paraguay national team.
