Jay-Z places $1m NBA Finals bet through Fanatics sportsbook
The well-known rap artist placed a $1m bet on the Oklahoma City Thunder to win in five games.

Well-known rap artist Jay-Z has placed a $1m bet on the NBA Finals which are set to tip-off on June 5 through Fanatics sportsbook, with the possibility to pay out over $2m if the Oklahoma City Thunder defeat the Indiana Pacers in five games.
Current odds from FanDuel have the Thunder winning in five games paying out at +230, as Oklahoma City is favored on the vast majority of sportsbooks, including -600 or greater.
The Thunder are led by point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who was recently named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2024-2025 NBA season. A victory for either the Thunder or Pacers would represent the first title to be won by either side in franchise history.
Fanatics Betting and Gaming also teamed up with Claymore Solutions to expand its reach in the Philippines on June 2. The company aims to “position the country as a premier destination for regulated gaming support.”

The duo recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebrated the opening of Claymore’s new offices in Taguig City, which were dedicated to Fanatics Betting and Gaming.
Guests of note included Fanatics Betting and Gaming CTO Ian Botts and CFO Andrea Ellis, along with Claymore Solutions Chairman and Co-founder Paul Fox and Co-Founder Nathan Kinsella.
