High Roller Technologies, a Nevada-based operator, has submitted its gaming license application to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), aiming to launch operations in Canada’s largest iGaming market by the second half of 2025.
The company’s CEO, Ben Clemes, said the move marks “an important milestone” in the company’s growth plans
“Once our application is approved, we anticipate that we will have the opportunity to launch our online casino product into the market later this year,” he also added.Ontario remains one of the most valuable regulated markets in North America, with $2.3bn in gross gaming revenue recorded in 2024. The company also expressed interest in expanding to Alberta, which recently passed enabling legislation to regulate online gambling.
Good to know: Ontario’s market has got a wave of new operators entering its market, as digital lottery and bingo specialist Random State has also secured its licence from the AGCO.
“We’re excited to roll out the red carpet for our new customers,” added Clemes. Earlier this year, High Roller appointed Adam Felman as its new CFO, besides also reporting $81m in Q4 revenue.
High Roller’s platform offers more than 5,000 casino games from over 90 providers and includes machine learning and API integrations to optimise the user experience.
