Pennsylvania posts $562.4m in gaming revenue for November

Figures posted by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) have revealed that the state received a total of $935.5m in sports wagers during November and generated a revenue of $562.4m from all forms of gambling during the month.
Sports wagering: Handle
November saw Pennsylvania achieve a record monthly sports wagering handle figure of $935.5m, marking a slight increase of 0.15% year-over-year. However, November’s handle also indicates a more definitive increase of 13.2% over the handle posted in September – as the state looks to finish the year strong.
Sports wagering: Revenue
Regarding revenue, the PGCB has posted an overall sports wagering revenue figure of $77.1m for the month. Of that number, $5.44m was accounted for by retail revenue, with the remaining $71.7m being generated by online.
Moreover, sports betting revenue figures from the state of Pennsylvania during November will make for pleasant reading for stakeholders in the state, as the $77.1m generated in the month marks a sizable increase of 498.4% year-over-year.
These latest figures are representative of a recent rise in sports wagering popularity in the state driven by the return of the NFL season. This point is exemplified when one considers that Pennsylvania’s most recent sports wagering revenue is over double that of the $30m generated by sports wagering in August 2024.
Sports wagering: Operators
Pennsylvania’s primary driver for sports betting in November with regard to location was Valley Forge Casino Resort, located on the outskirts of Philadelphia. Valley Forge generated a total revenue of $36.8m, from a wagering handle of $373.6m during November. Coming in just behind was Hollywood Casino at the Meadows which posted a revenue figure of $21.1m from an overall handle of $246.2m.
These two casino locations stand far above the rest in Pennsylvania as, elsewhere, the third highest figures were generated by Hollywood Casino Morgantown, which posted $4.5m and $65.9m in revenue and handle respectively.
Gaming: Revenue
Moving on to Pennsylvania’s gaming figures for November, the state’s overall revenue (including sports betting revenue) for the month totaled $562.4m – a 26.06% increase year-over-year.

Gaming: Type
During the month of November, the PGCB has revealed that retail slots were the state’s primary revenue driver from all forms of gambling, rising above both online and sports wagering forms.
Overall, retail slots generated $201.5m in revenue during the month, a 6.2% rise year-over-year. Trailing close behind were iGaming slots, which boasted a revenue figure of $148.7m, up by 36% year-over-year.
Regarding table games, retail table games also rose above online, generating $77.1m in revenue to iGaming table’s revenue figure of $49.6m. Retail, however, did see a year-over-year decline of 2.45%, while online rose by 6.7%.
Of the overall revenue figure, the remaining amount was accounted for by video gaming terminals, fantasy contests and iGaming poker, which all saw declines of 4.4%, 4.2% and 0.12%, respectively.
