Mohegan names Nelson Parker as Chief Strategy Officer
Parker says he is eager to play a role in future company growth.
Mohegan has appointed Nelson Parker to serve as its new Chief Strategy Officer. His duties as CSO include working closely with the company’s executive team and “identifying, assessing and executing growth opportunities and strategic new ventures for the company.”
He will also aid the Tribal operator in its capital planning and strategy for continued future company growth.
Parker joined Mohegan two years ago. Before becoming a part of the Mohegan leadership team, Parker held several executive roles for other known names throughout the gaming industry, including SVP of Corporate Development at Penn National Gaming, SVP of Hotel & Casino Development at Hard Rock International, VP of Development at Foxwoods Resort Casino and Corporate Director of Development at Argosy Gaming.
Prior to his latest promotion at Mohegan, Parker served the company as its SVP of Strategic Development.
Company President and CEO Ray Pineault commented, “Nelson has vast experience and a proven track record in strategic development and growth within the gaming and hospitality sectors.

Parker took a moment to comment on stepping into this new role.

Throughout its nearly 30-year history, Mohegan has formed strategic partnerships with a variety of brands, including Coca-Cola, Ticketmaster, Paramount Pictures, WNBA, Michael Jordan, the New York Yankees, the Boston Celtics and Live Nation.
