FanDuel Launches Daily Dinger Game and New MLB Markets as Opening Day Looms

FanDuel has unveiled a revamped MLB betting experience for 2026, including a free-to-play Daily Dinger game, exit velocity markets, and a brand partnership with Anthony Rizzo.
MLB Opening Day is officially upon us, and FanDuel is making a major push into baseball. The sportsbook announced a comprehensive upgrade to its MLB product on March 25, just as the 2026 season gets underway.
This newly announced partnership comes just a few months after multiple MLB teams canceled their contracts with the FanDuel Sports Network. It appears to have had zero impact on FanDuel’s interest in expanding its MLB sports betting markets. MLB and FanDuel have long partnered in the sports betting arena, and that partnership continues to grow.
The headline addition is Daily Dinger, a free-to-play game built around home run betting. The rollout also includes new wagering markets, enhanced player tools, and a brand partnership with former World Series Champion Anthony Rizzo.
FanDuel Managing Director of Sportsbook Karol Corcoran described the platform as purpose-built around the most exciting part of the game.
Daily Dinger and the Home Run Focus
The centerpiece of FanDuel’s MLB launch is Daily Dinger. Each day, customers pick one player they believe will hit a home run. Correct picks earn a profit boost token redeemable on MLB wagering the following day. The game is free to enter and designed to draw casual fans into the betting experience around baseball’s most high-profile individual moments.
Two additional home run-specific markets accompany the new game. “Laser” Home Run Markets allow customers to bet on home runs hit at an exit velocity of 110 MPH or higher. 3+ Home Run Grids provide dynamic views showing players with multi-home run potential across the full day’s slate.
These additions build on existing products including Dinger Tuesdays and live in-game home run boosts that FanDuel has offered in previous seasons.
New Wagering Markets Including Exit Velocity
FanDuel is also expanding its broader MLB market offering. Exit Velocity Markets introduce over/under bets tied to batted ball speed, bringing Statcast-era data directly into the betting interface.
Futures Same Game Parlays allow customers to combine Division, Pennant, and World Series futures outcomes into a single wager for the first time.
Product and Interface Upgrades
FanDuel has redesigned its MLB interface around player accessibility. Starting lineup confirmations now display in real time, including batting order once confirmed. Star Player Grids let users browse and bet on player props across multiple games from a single view. In-line performance data surfaces recent stats and trends directly within each betting market. Integrated game logs provide historical performance data for deeper research before placing a bet.
Bet settlement has also been accelerated. Many bets now resolve by the next pitch rather than at the end of the game. Same-game parlay functionality has been expanded across core prop markets.
Updated MLB House Rules for Fanduel
FanDuel is introducing revised house rules for player prop markets this season. A selected player must be in the starting lineup and record at least one plate appearance for a prop bet to be active. The change provides greater clarity for bettors and allows markets to open earlier once lineup certainty is established.
Anthony Rizzo FanDuel Partnership
FanDuel announced a new brand ambassador deal with Anthony Rizzo, the two-time World Series Champion and current NBC Sunday Night Baseball analyst. Rizzo will appear across television, digital, and social media campaigns throughout the MLB season.
He will also feature in branded betting opportunities tied to key moments during the year.
The Rizzo partnership reflects FanDuel’s broader strategy of anchoring its baseball product around recognizable player names and home run culture. The Daily Dinger brand, the exit velocity markets, and the ambassador choice all reinforce a consistent positioning around baseball’s most crowd-pleasing plays.
