Kevin Hart and Ryan Fitzpatrick star in the latest commercial.

Now that the 2023-2024 NFL season is just a few weeks away, its betting partner, DraftKings is pulling out all the stops. Its latest commercial advertises ‘Bet $5 get $200 instantly on bonus bets.’

The new advertisement features ambassadors, comedian Kevin Hart and ‘retired NFL smart guy’ Ryan Fitzpatrick.

To get fans ready for this upcoming football season, DraftKings will be launching brand-new commercials with a few familiar faces – as well as advertising new offers.

On August 21, the commercial containing Hart and Fitzpatrick will go live. The new commercial will also contain DraftKings' rebranded tagline “The crown is yours.”

The new tagline aims to reinforce the company’s commitment to providing the best possible experience it can to its customers.

The popularity of betting ambassadors comes after the US overturned PASPA in 2018 and permitted sports betting, but to begin with, it was just one state – New Jersey – which had legalized sports betting.

Today, sports betting is legal in 33 US states. Currently, DraftKings and FanDuel own most of the industry’s market share.

During its Q2 2023 results, DraftKings H1 revenue almost doubled year-on-year to $1.64bn and the monthly average revenue per bettor also rose by 33% to $137, showing a strong start to 2023.

Back in June, FanDuel, DraftKings & bet365 led Ohio's April sports betting market.
