Tennessee Lottery CEO: sports betting to arrive by Nov. 1

Tennessee Lottery President and CEO Rebecca Hargrove told a board meeting that the state’s sportsbooks should launch by November 1, according to the Associated Press.
Tennessee legalized online sports betting last spring without the approval of Governor Bill Lee.
Four operators have submitted completed applications to run online sportsbooks.
The Tennessean reports those operators are Mark Knight, Media Players US LLC, Sports Betting ST, LLC, dba SBST and Wedge Traffic Ltd., dba Wedge Traffic Inc.
“At this point, I’m pleased to tell you we’ll start no later than Nov. 1, and potentially a week or two ahead of that if we can get all of the background checks back from the folks who have them,” Hargrove said according to the AP report.
