Colin McDonagh stated the ability to quickly adapt is key.

With the World Cup approaching, Sportingtech Chief Sales Officer Colin McDonagh commented on acquisition and retention during the event.

According to McDonagh, the World Cup offers practically a limitless potential for growth but the peculiarities of each jurisdiction can differ greatly.

He also believes that Brazil has the potential to become one of the largest sports betting markets in the world. In his opinion, preparation and offering a streamlined platform is one of the best way to ensure an easier onboarding process.

Popular Bets and Popular Events widget is one of the offerings that Sportingtech attributes to its success.

Other features such as the Bet Assist tool are designed to make the platform more intuitive by generating automated betting tips based on historical data, live scores and AI analysis.

McDonagh added that the World Cup will present the industry with opportunities in Latin America.

He stated: "The companies that have demonstrated success in LatAm have often been the ones that have shown a clear focus on the omnichannel experience, and this is indicative of its importance to long-term success.

"A presence both on and offline is key to attaining a high level of player engagement and retention. There are major opportunities for online betting in LatAm and, with the right platform, committing to a digital presence can result in serious gains."

Sportingtech is set to release its World Cup widgets before the event begins in November. These widgets will allow users access to betting on single games, group betting and various specials.
