MGM Resorts International has announced the appointment of Gary Fritz as President of MGM Resorts Interactive. In this role, Fritz will oversee the company’s diversification strategy by expanding its digital platforms, both organically and through acquisitions. He will also be responsible for driving innovative growth for BetMGM.

Fritz has previously served as the head of gaming for IAC, a media and internet holding company that is operational across 100 countries and owns a stake in MGM Resorts. He led global strategy and expansion plans for other multinationals, including titans of the travel industry, TripAdvisor and Expedia.

His career began at McKinsey & Company, a management consultancy company. Before this, he had obtained an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.

MGM Resorts CEO and President Bill Hornbuckle commented: “Enhancing and growing our digital businesses is one of MGM Resorts' top priorities, and Gary is uniquely positioned to help the company build on successes and seize new opportunities. Gary will play a vital role in MGM Resorts' diversification strategy and drive our investment in digital innovations."

Fritz mirrored Hornbuckle’s excitement at this new appointment, saying: “I'm excited to join MGM Resorts and contribute to the company's success as it looks to accelerate its growth in digital gaming. MGM is the global leader in premium gaming and entertainment, and I look forward to continuing to drive our strategy around global expansion and digital innovation."

Fritz and Hornbuckle have also previously worked together during MGM Resorts' acquisition of LeoVegas.
