Roundhill Investments launches sports betting ETF

Roundhill Investments has launched the first global sports betting exchange-traded fund (ETF).
The ETF, called BETZ, is designed to offer retail and institutional investors “exposure to sports betting and iGaming industries by providing investment results.”
Roundhill previously launched an esports and digital entertainment ETF.
The Roundhill Sports Betting and iGaming Index touts itself as the “first index globally designed to track the performance of the sports betting and iGaming industry.”
The ETF lists 30 holdings at an expense ratio of 0.75%.
Assets under management total $1.5m with 100,000 shares outstanding.
“The Index consists of a tiered weight portfolio of globally-listed companies who are actively involved in the sports betting & iGaming industry,” according to Roundhill.
Classification is separated into companies that operate in-person and/or online sports books, companies that operate online/internet gambling platforms and companies that provide infrastructure or technology to such companies.
DraftKings leads the top ten holdings with weight of 7.02% followed by Flutter at 6.53%.
