The new Casinomeister site lists all operators compliant to regulations set out by Ontario's Alcohol and Gaming Commission (AGCO).
The new site dedicated to the Ontario market is Casinomeister.ca and is regarded as the ‘Ontario Zone’ of Casinomeister. It is an extension of the casino player forum.
Casinomeister also vets the casinos it lists on the website making sure that players are met with a list of online casinos which are safe to play at. Several groups have obtained licensing to operate in Ontario since the market opened in April.
One of these operators is TSG Interactive Canada Inc., a subsidiary of Flutter. This move allows the PokerStars brand to enter the province and offer online poker and casino gaming, along with sports betting.
However, there are still a few more moves that need to be made before PokerStars can launch. The group needs to complete an operating agreement with the iGO, but once completed, the service can launch.
Along with PokerStars, AGCO approved Casumo for licensing. The online casino and sports betting operator is based in Malta and is owned by Pret Play. The license for Casumo is good through June 2023.
It's expected that PokerStars' competition in the region will be GGPoker, which pulls in traffic due to its cash games and major tournament offerings.
NorthStar Gaming Incorporated also announced its Ontario launch last month with NorthStarBets.ca. NorthStar provides players 19 years of age or older with several playing options including sports betting.
All of these locations and operators will be vetted by Casinomeister before they are listed on the site.
