The Dakota Magic Casino Resort has introduced a sportsbook video LED wall that measures 31x30 feet. The video wall allows for seamless HDMI viewing that will be used for large sporting events and displaying wagering odds, among various other uses.
The LED wall will be easily interfaced via Key Digital’s 922 AVoIP encoders/decoders and the new 4K UHD HDMI matrix with multi-view tiling. This technology can all be controlled via an iPad which utilizes Key Digital’s Compass Control Pro software.
This innovative Key Digital software has a wide range of practical uses. For instance, the user can switch from eight discrete images to two with a single swipe of the finger. This means that the Dakota Magic Casino Resort will be able to show eight sporting events simultaneously.
A custom preset also allows the user to go to a split screen and there are a multitude of options in between, depending on the viewer's desires. This exhaustive setup ensures that sportsbook patrons won’t ever miss a game or race.
The Dakota Magic Casino Resort is a 63,575-square-foot casino established in 1999, which has been seeking to modernize, with a 35,800 square feet expansion of entertainment space planned for next year. This video wall is indicative of the tribal casino incorporating new technologies to expand on its traditional gambling offerings.
The casino boasts over 1,000 slot and video poker machines, keno, 18 table games, a high-stakes gaming area, poker room, lounge, fine-dining and buffet restaurants, and a golf course with a clubhouse.
Dakota Magic Casino CEO Kurt Schmidt is proud of this new addition to the casino. He says: “It’s very flexible. For instance, right now we’ve got four different games on, and for a single big event like the Final Four or the Super Bowl, we can make that entire screen into a single, huge, 4K display.
“The ticker on the side of the sportsbook can be seen pretty much from anywhere on the property. It grabs your attention and draws you in, and when you get close you see that video wall, people are just blown away.”
