Report: NBA considering playing rest of season in Las Vegas

The NBA is considering playing the remainder of its season at a Las Vegas casino property according to ESPN.
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst wrote Friday: “Various ideas have been floated by players and executives. One is to consider using a sprawling casino property in Las Vegas, where everything could be held under one roof.”
The NBA already plays its Summer League in Las Vegas, which usually begins in early July.
A separate report from CNBC says that the league may play its postseason in Las Vegas.
CNBC’s Jabari Young reported Friday: “The tournament and NBA Finals would be held in Las Vegas at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion, where the league hosts its annual Summer League events.”
Either a casino property or UNLV would provide the NBA with potential housing and other amenities, which is said to be a driving concern according to both reports.
The league is suspended indefinitely as the US works to contain the coronavirus.
