A new Director of Communications has taken the helm of media strategy at the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG): Cait Huble. She brings to the role a wealth of experience, including two years spent at the NCPG as its first communications manager, from 2017 to 2019.
The Washington DC-based organization has been expanding its capacity – which includes growing its communications team – after a $6.2m grant from the National Football League Foundation that hopes to underscore certain issues important to the NCPG: problem gambling, advocacy, and raising awareness.
Keith Whyte, NCPG Executive Director, welcomed back a familiar face with a proven track record: “We are excited to have Cait Huble back at NCPG leading our communications efforts. The organization is currently experiencing a period of unprecedented growth and achievement, and Cait is the ideal choice to connect with external audiences and enhance awareness around responsible gambling and problem gambling.”
In addition to her prior stint as NCPG’s Communications Manager, Huble has worked for over a decade in communications strategy and planning at non-profit institutions. Her most recent role was as Executive Director of the Sonoran Arts League. Among her academic qualifications are an MBA from Concordia University, an MA in Executive Leadership and a BS in Management, both from Arizona State University.
She looks forward to taking on the challenges of the new role: “I am grateful for the opportunity to continue advancing NCPG’s mission during this unique time as sports betting and gambling in general continue to expand rapidly across the country. I look forward to helping achieve NCPG’s ambitious goals in advocacy, awareness and assistance on problem gambling.”
