Clark County casinos won $865m last month, including $483m for Las Vegas Strip properties. Downtown Las Vegas saw win of $76m.
Washoe County, home to Reno, generated another $87m.
Slots generated a state-wide record revenue of $794m, which was up 20.5% compared to April 2019, the most recent comparable year. Slot revenue broke the previous record of $780m set in October 2007.
Slot coin-in, the amount wagered on slots, was $11.1bn last month, the state’s highest since May 2008.
Table games brought in $246m, down 16.7% from March. The amount wagered on table games was $2.02bn, a 6.5% decrease from the prior month.
Nevada sportsbooks posted handle of $458m, with mobile accounting for $297m, or 64.9%, of all bets.
Handle was down 28.6% from the $641m wagered March and was Nevada’s lowest since last July.
Nevada placed third nationally in handle, behind both New Jersey ($681m) and Pennsylvania ($479m).
Sports betting revenue was $27.2m, amounting to a 6% hold for sportsbooks.
Basketball was the most wagered on sport at $181m, resulting in $8.6m of operator revenue. Sportsbooks did better on the diamond, where baseball generated $14.1m in revenue on $164m of wagers.
The NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights helped hockey to $46.5m in wagers, which led to operator revenue of $2.1m.
Mobile wagers accounted for $17.9m of sportsbook revenue.
