BetMGM partners with LPGA Tour
BetMGM has agreed to a multi-year deal with the LPGA Tour to serve as its Official Betting Operator.
The partnership is the first-of-its-kind between the LPGA and a sports betting operator.
BetMGM will offer customers LGPA Tour odds. The operator will have rights to the Official Tour Partner logo for promotional purposes.
“As a leading sports and entertainment company and already a supporter of women’s golf, BetMGM is uniquely positioned to join the LPGA family as an Official Betting Operator,” Brian Carroll, senior vice president of global media distribution for the LPGA, said. “Sports betting and digital gaming are key elements of the future of sports, and BetMGM is on the forefront of both opportunities. We are happy to partner with them as we look to provide more opportunities for our fans to interact with the LPGA and learn about our incredible athletes.”
BetMGM and the PGA previously agreed to a multi-year content and marketing partnership last summer.
MGM Resorts owns Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, which hosted the inaugural Bank of Hope LPGA Match Play event in February.
BetMGM hopes to capitalize on the rising popularity of golf betting.
The partnership comes weeks ahead of the US Women’s Open, the oldest of the LPGA’s five Major championships.
