Stake receives casino and sportsbook license in Peru
The operator has also hired Jennyfer Escobar as Country Manager in Peru.
Stake has been granted a casino and sportsbook license in Peru. As such, players in the country will gain access to sports, casino and esports betting via Stake.pe.
Alongside launching in Peru, Stake has hired Jennyfer Escobar as Country Manager in Peru, alongside several other women. This group is set to lead Stake’s LatAm strategy.
Said Escobar, “I am thrilled to join team Stake and help to guide efforts in Peru. The Peruvian market has significant growth potential and we look forward to engaging even further with the region. I’m excited to continue contributing to the dynamic world of gaming in Peru and to drive innovation in this evolving industry.”
Escobar comes to the role with close to a decade of industry experience. This includes over six and half years as Marketing Manager for Inkabet, almost two years as Managing Director at Gothia Consultores, four months with BoyleSports as Growth Manager and three months as Country Manager with Easygo; a service provider with clients including Stake.
The launch comes off the back of Stake’s recent entry into the Colombian market. Operated by Easygo, the move is part of the operator’s plans to develop its Bogotá hub in the region. It also follows the legalization of sports betting iGaming in the nation earlier this year.

Stake is far from the only operator entering the Peruvian market following the updated iGaming and sports betting regulations. Since June, some of the operators to receive licenses include Betsson, WorldMatch, Golden Matrix Group, LSports and Rush Street Interactive.
