The Tribal casino has become the Founding Partner of the NBA side's new Intuit Dome.

NBA side the LA Clippers has today announced that the Pechanga Resort Casino has been made the official Founding Partner of the team’s new home stadium, the Intuit Dome.

Following a community-focused partnership agreement that was signed between the two organizations in June, the Pechanga Tribe has now enhanced its relationship with the NBA’s LA Clippers. Prior to this latest update, the pair donated a variety of school supplies – such as laptops – to the Career Center at Ortega High School in Lake Elsinore. The goal of this initial collaborative phase was to provide assistance for students applying for jobs and for college.

Now, this latest agreement will also see Pechanga and the Clippers host several annual events that seek to benefit the local community. In addition, a Clippers Open Practice will be held on October 8 at the Pechanga Indian Reservation in Temecula.

La Clippers and Intuit Dome CCO, Scott Sonnenberg, spoke on the announcement, saying, “It has long been a priority for the Clippers organization to use our platform to make a meaningful difference and moving into our new home Intuit Dome has allowed us to create a space that brings even more people together. We’re very happy to have Pechanga as an Intuit Dome Founding Partner and the exclusive tribal casino of the LA Clippers as we continue programs and events that improve the lives of our neighbors.”

Building on this point was Ken Perez, President, Pechanga Development Corporation, who said, “We are excited to partner and support the Clippers as they open their new home, Intuit Dome. This partnership expands the Pechanga brand and presence in Southern California sports and entertainment while making our communities better and stronger.”

In December of last year, the Pechanga Resort Casino also partnered with the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Regional Food Bank to host a holiday food drive.
