Pechanga Resort Casino, along with the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, has partnered to host a recent holiday food drive, according to a KABC Channel 7 local news report.
This is the fourth year the trio has put on the food drive. This year’s event was held at the SoFi Stadium. Families received nearly 60 pounds of food per household, the local report said. Items distributed included frozen chicken, dairy items, produce and stable shelf items.
Pechanga Development Corporation President Ken Perez told KABC local news that addressing food shortage in the greater Los Angeles area continues to remain a priority for the group.
He commented, "We at Pechanga take our civic duty and our obligation to be good neighbors very seriously.
“After all, Southern California is our ancestral homeland and having partnered up here with the Los Angeles Rams has allowed us to expand our scope.”
In other state news, the California Council on Problem Gambling (CCPG) recently launched a new website, HowToExclude.org. The site is the first in the state to provide a comprehensive list of self-exclusion programs offered by almost all casinos in California on one domain.
HowToExclude.org also includes information on how to enroll in self-exclusion programs, as well as access to support services and resources that aid in overcoming program gambling.
Along with the launch of the new site, the CCPG recognized both Yaamava' Resort and Casino and Pechanga Resort and Casino for earning annual responsible gaming certifications. Both destinations have worked to provide resources regarding problem gambling prevention and to encourage responsible gaming.
