Caesars Sportsbook to Take Over Operations at Westgate SuperBook Ahead of NFL Season

Caesars Entertainment has reached a deal with Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino to take over race and sportsbook operations at the legendary SuperBook, the companies announced Tuesday.
The deal is pending approval from the Nevada Gaming Commission. The transition is planned ahead of the football season. The venue will retain its name and rebrand as the Westgate SuperBook powered by Caesars Sportsbook.
What Is Changing
Caesars will assume responsibility for sportsbook operations and technology at the property. That means the betting menu, platform infrastructure, live wagering capabilities, and self-service technology will all shift to Caesars’ systems. Bettors on property will gain access to same-game parlays, expanded parlay offerings, and live in-play wagering across professional and collegiate sports. The same options will also be available through the Caesars Sportsbook app.
Self-service betting kiosks will be introduced inside the SuperBook and at additional locations throughout the resort, extending round-the-clock wagering access beyond the main book floor. Guests will be able to complete in-person registration for the Caesars Sportsbook app while on property and use their account to manage deposits and withdrawals through the platform’s digital wallet in participating markets.
What Is Staying the Same
The physical footprint, name, and atmosphere of the SuperBook are not changing. The Westgate SuperBook has been a defining feature of the Las Vegas sports betting landscape since it opened in 1986, recognized as one of the largest sportsbook viewing and betting environments in the world. Its scale, viewing screens, and atmosphere have set a benchmark for destination sportsbooks globally.
Critically, the SuperContest franchise is not going anywhere. The Westgate SuperContest, the NFL handicapping competition that draws thousands of entrants each season and has become a fixture of the football calendar, will remain an integral part of the SuperBook experience.
That contest is deeply embedded in the property’s culture and the broader Las Vegas sports betting community, and its continuity under the new operational structure will matter to regulars who participate year after year.
Why It Makes Sense for Both Sides
For Westgate, the deal brings a major technology and product upgrade without requiring the property to build or maintain its own sportsbook platform infrastructure. Caesars brings a market-leading digital betting menu and the operational resources of one of the world’s largest gaming companies. The SuperBook has a legacy that no new build can replicate, but the backend systems powering modern retail sportsbooks require significant ongoing investment to remain competitive.
For Caesars, the deal extends its retail sportsbook footprint in a city where presence and brand visibility still matter. Caesars Sportsbook is fresh off being one of the leaders for prop bet options for the most recent Super Bowl.
The SuperBook is not just a sportsbook. It is a destination. Taking on operations at the most recognizable sportsbook in Las Vegas puts the Caesars Sportsbook brand at the center of one of the most-watched and visited betting venues in the world, particularly during football season. Caesars has already been expanding its Las Vegas retail reach, having opened at Rampart Casino in Summerlin earlier this year.
Eric Hession, president of Caesars Digital, framed it as a convergence of legacy and modern capability. “By powering the SuperBook with our sportsbook platform, we’re combining a legendary sportsbook environment with a modern betting menu and added convenience that reflects how sports fans want to wager today,” he said.
Westgate president and general manager Cami Christensen described the deal as an evolution rather than a departure. “Since opening in 1986, our SuperBook has been a defining part of the Las Vegas sports betting landscape,” she said. “Caesars Sportsbook will take it to the next level, combining decades of history with innovation, scale, and an even more dynamic guest experience.”
Additional details on the operational transition timeline and on-property changes will be released closer to the launch date. The Westgate sits just off the Las Vegas Strip, adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center.
