FanDuel Celebrates NFL Season With ‘Last Call for Football’ Ahead of Super Bowl
FanDuel has rolled out a three-ad campaign titled “Last Call for Football” ahead of Super Bowl 60. The commercials were created in partnership with the agency Arts & Letters.
FanDuel Ads Feature Three NFL Legends
The weeklong campaign launched Feb. 2 with “Toast,” a 30-second spot.
In the ad, FanDuel’s season-long brand host Luis Guzmán announces a “last call for football” while serving drinks to NFL icons Joe Montana, Rob Gronkowski, and Adam Vinatieri.
“When we started thinking about the Super Bowl, we came back to a simple but powerful fan truth: It’s the biggest moment on the sports calendar, but it’s also the moment when the season ends,” said Mike Raffensperger, President of Sports at FanDuel.
“‘Last Call for Football’ sits right at the center of that insight — celebrating the season that was, while savoring the final night we all get to enjoy the NFL together.”
The second spot, “Fever Dream,” debuts Feb. 7 and stars Gronkowski.
When Guzmán asks if anyone wants to give a pregame speech, viewers can hear Gronk’s internal monologue about whether he should say a few words before the big game.
Montana appears at the end of the spot to set up the campaign’s finale.
The third ad is titled “Speech,” another 30-second spot.
In the commercial, Montana delivers a heartfelt speech to fans, stating that “every detail of the season adds up to now” and “for one night, we’re all in it together.”
Americans To Wager Nearly $2 Billion Legally On Super Bowl
According to the American Gaming Association (AGA), Americans are projected to wager a record $1.76 billion legally on Super Bowl 60 this Sunday.
“No single event brings fans together like the Super Bowl, and this record figure shows just how much Americans enjoy sports betting as part of the experience,” said Bill Miller, AGA President and CEO.
“By choosing legal, regulated sportsbooks, fans are having fun while supporting a safe and responsible market.”
A gambler has already placed a $1.1 million wager on Super Bowl 60.
Jeffrey Benson, the Director of Operations at sportsbook Circa in Las Vegas, posted on X that they accepted the large wager on the New England Patriots’ moneyline at +188 odds.
The bettor would win over $2 million if the Pats upset the favored Seattle Seahawks.
What’s more, a new AGA study shows that prediction markets are confusing gamblers by promoting sports betting as an investment rather than entertainment.
Per the AGA, only 28 percent of sports event contract bettors say responsible gaming tools are easy to find on their platform, compared to 58 percent of sportsbook users.
“This research reinforces why state- and tribal-regulated sportsbooks are critical, offering strong oversight and consumer protections that prediction markets simply do not match,” continued Miller.
