Playmaker HQ is a sports and entertainment media platform that is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It provides both original sports and entertainment content to the US market by utilizing its collaborations with creator talent and with professional athletes. Its current CEO is Brandon Harris.
Playmaker was founded in 2018 in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Since its formation, the company has partnered with both top sports apparel brands and consumer goods industries. The media company has grown substantially since its debut and currently offers its 20 million registered online users access to more than 2,000 pieces of sports content per month across a variety of social media platforms that include Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Snapchat, and YouTube.
To date, the company’s online content has reached more than 500 million sports fans.
In recent news, the company was acquired by gaming operator and media company Better Collective. The group will add Playmaker HQ’s substantial fan base to its sports betting audience, under the terms of the agreement.
The company said in a recent social media post, “Our unique and original sports and entertainment media content platform will complement and join the Better Collective family of brands which includes such industry stalwarts as Action Network, Roto Grinders, Vegas Insider and more.
“Together we’re looking forward to building the largest sports media company in the world!”
Harris also briefly discussed the merger and said that collaborating with Better Collective can potentially reach a larger sports fan base throughout both the US and the world.
He said, “Joining forces with Better Collective marks a significant milestone for Playmaker HQ. We cannot wait to make plays with Better Collective's world class team who will help us create amazing content, experiences and opportunities, reaching an even wider audience of sports fans globally.

Playmaker HQ was acquired by Better Collective on July 3 2023.
