Atlantic City’s Borgata launches Dual Play Roulette with BetMGM

The game will allow players of Borgata Online Casino to join in with players on the casino floor.

BetMGM and Borgata Hotel Casinos and Spa (Borgata) have launched Dual Play Roulette, which gives players in New Jersey the option to play in the casino at its tables as well via Borgata Online Casino. From Evolution, Dual Play Roulette becomes the first Dual Play game at a North American MGM venue.

In both May and June, New Jersey gaming revenue increased at least 9% and Atlantic City’s Borgata led the state’s market. The Borgata was responsible for $60.5m out of May’s total $470.9m, and made $105m of June’s total $457m.  

Though the city is still working to achieve pre-pandemic levels of revenue for in-person gaming within its casinos, bringing new games to the Borgata could give it even more of an advantage. The company says the new Evolution Dual Play Roulette table will be “located in a prime position” on the casino’s gaming floor.

Oliver Bartlett, BetMGM’s Director of Online Gaming, said, “Dual Play Roulette truly meets players where they are. This is a great example of online and land-based casinos leveraging technology to bring players a better omnichannel experience.”

Online gaming made up nearly a third of New Jersey’s total June revenue, generating $149.3m, and has recently had its authorization extended through 2028. Multiple cameras will also be used on the premises to capture the action, in order to better immerse players taking part online.

Evolution also recently launched Lighting Dice in New Jersey as well.
