Betano launches in Ontario, its first North American market entry
The operator will release 30 sports offerings and 1000 casino games to the province.
Betano has made its official debut in Ontario, which marks its first launch in North America. Its parent company, Kaizen Gaming, currently operates two brands – Betano and Stoixman – in 12 markets across Europe and LatAm.
This launch has occurred in time for the peak season of all the major US sporting leagues, including NHL, NFL and NBA. It also arrives in time for the 2022 World Cup, which Betano has joined in the capacity of a Regional Supporter for Europe.
The company will be rolling out a portfolio of 30 sports and over 1000 casino games to Ontarian bettors.
Kaizen Gaming CCO Julio Iglesias Hernando commented: “We are excited to enter a new market, but also a new territory for Betano and Kaizen Gaming.
“The competition is intense in Ontario but we are confident that with our solid product offering, backed by our proprietary technology, we will offer a superior sports betting and gaming experience to millions of Canadians.”
Betano is the more expansive of Kaizen Gaming’s two brands. It operates in Portugal, Brazil, Romania, Germany, Bulgaria, Czechia, Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Canada. Meanwhile, Stoiximan is present in Greece and Cyprus.
Kaizen Gaming offered one million sporting events in 2021, has 1.4 million active players in all markets and over 40 athlete sponsorships.
Last month, PressEnter Group entered the Ontario market, while a host of other brands have made similar moves since the Ontarian market’s launch on April 4.
And, earlier this month, Casumo also entered the region’s regulated market.
