Online casino and sports betting operator Casumo has officially launched its iGaming website and app for players in Ontario.

Residents of the Canadian province can now access Casumo’s themed slot machines, along with live casino games such as blackjack, baccarat, and roulette.

Casumo's sports betting platform, Casumo Sportsbook, is not currently available in Ontario.

“We’re thrilled to be one of the first operators licensed in the Ontario market, it’s a testament to the agility of our people and our tech,” said Garry McGibbon, Casumo’s  Vice President of Commercial. “We’re excited to get going with our plans to bring Casumo magic to the fingertips of players all across Ontario.”

Casumo company received its license to operate in the Ontario market in June 2022. It now joins 59 other online casinos, sports betting sites, and poker sites approved by iGaming Ontario.

IGaming Ontario was formed in July 2021 and only launched its market for internet gaming in April 2022.

Before the formation of iGaming Ontario, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) was the only operator approved for online gambling in the province. Ontario introduced legislation in 2020 that ended OLG’s legal monopoly and opened up online gaming to a wider market.

The introduction of Casumo’s Ontario website marks the company’s first foray into the budding North American iGaming market. Founded in 2012, Casumo had previously focused on the European iGaming market. The company’s headquarters are based in Malta, and it has offices in both Gibraltar and Barcelona.
