IGT and New York Lottery sign four-year contract extension
The agreement between the two will extend the companies relationship until August 2026.
International Game Technology PLC (IGT) has announced an extended contract with the New York Lottery. The four-year extension will see the relationship between the two extended until August 2026.
Details of the extension include the launch of a new claims and payments system from IGT.
The company will also provide the New York Lottery with its lottery central system and related technology, retailer training, field services, call center support, instant ticket warehousing and distribution and upgrades to the infrastructure.
IGT Chief Operating Officer Global Lottery Jay Gendron commented: “IGT has built a trusted partnership with the New York Lottery since 1986.
“For more than 35 years, we have worked collaboratively with the Lottery to deliver world-class, innovative solutions for retailers and players alike.”
IGT has more than 475,000 point-of-sale terminals in customer jurisdictions throughout the world.
The company recently partnered with Nisqually Red Wind Casino in Washington State to provide the IGT PlaySports platform and deploy IGT PlaySports betting kiosks.
Nisqually Red Wind Casino General Manager Conrad Granito said: “Given IGT PlaySports’ leadership across Washington State and the turnkey nature of their solution, we are confident that we’ve found the ideal sports betting growth partner.”
IGT President of Sports Betting Joe Asher stated: “In adding a sportsbook to its already impressive casino, Nisqually Red Wind Casino can leverage sports betting as a powerful player acquisition tool and a driver of extended property visitation.”
Including the latest partnership, IGT PlaySports is providing sports betting at over seventy gaming venues across the US and Canada.
