Brazil’s SPA authorizes EstadoX to operate under three brands

The Secretary of Prizes and Bets (SPA), the part of the national Ministry of Finance that controls and oversees operators in Brazil, has formally authorized EstadoX Ltda to operate fixed-odds betting and online gaming through a new five-year license.
The authorization, which was published under an ordinance in the national Official Union Diary, Federal Government’s official gazette, allows EstadoX to offer both sports-themed and online gaming products virtually until 15 October 2030.
EstadoX, headquartered in São Paulo and founded in July 2024, will operate under three brand names, Tropino, BZ and 55W, according to registration documents filed with the Federal Revenue Service.
The SPA authorization is based on the company’s compliance with Laws No. 13.756/2018 and 14.790/2023, which regulate Brazil’s national fixed-odds betting scene.

Recently, SPA has signed an agreement with the National Council for Advertising to cooperate on more responsible promotions on betting advertising in Brazil, combating illegal practices in advertising, identifying repeating offenders and raising awareness with campaigns on responsible gambling.
With the addition of EstadoX, Brazil now has 81 authorized companies operating 83 fixed-odds betting and online gaming licences, 78 issued directly by the SPA and five through Federal Court rulings, covering a total of 184 active brands.
