Penn National Gaming Launches ‘myheroes’ program
Penn National Gaming has launched the program to honor active-duty military, veterans and first responders.
To celebrate Saturday’s Armed Forces Day, Penn National will launch its ‘myheroes’ program, an initiative to provide active and former military workers with exclusive discounts and offers at Penn National’s 41 properties in 19 states.
All of Penn National’s properties will feature special benefits and unique events across the year open to active-duty military, veterans and first responder patrons.
The company has said that all ‘myheroes’ members will receive a tier upgrade to Advantage, a commemorative pin and a special players club card at sign-up.
Each member will also be allowed to bring along a family member or friend, who will be able to share the same benefits.
The program was devised by Tosh Anderson, director of marketing at Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway, as well as William Zeralsky, VP of marketing strategy at Penn National’s Las Vegas Center.
Both Anderson and Zeralsky have strong ties with the armed forces, as Anderson served in the US Army and Zeralsky has a brother serving in the Navy.
“Honoring and supporting our nation’s heroes is a personal passion of mine and it’s one of our company’s top priorities, which extends to our recruitment efforts, team member recognition and ongoing charitable and community support,” said Jay Snowden (pictured), president and CEO of Penn National Gaming. “In addition to the myheroes program for our loyal patrons, later this year we’ll be launching the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s ‘Hiring Our Heroes’ initiative, which connects veterans, service members and military spouses with meaningful employment opportunities.”
