Prediction market provider Kalshi recently shared that its $185m Series C has reached a value of $2bn.
According to the company CEO Tarek Mansour, Paradigm led the new funding round, with Sequoia, Multicoin, Peng Zhao, Neo and Bond Capital also participating.
He said in a recent social media post, “People choose to work at Kalshi not because of the money we’ve raised, but because of our ambition: build the most important financial market on the planet.
“Today, we celebrate our team and community who have taken prediction markets mainstream and made Kalshi one of the fastest growing companies in America. What once felt impossible now looks inevitable.”
In other recent company news, Kalshi has released its first AI produced TV spot. The 30-second ad aired ahead of Game Three of the NBA playoffs, as well as before the game started.
“Great commercials used to require seven figures and months iterating to land the right creative,” said Mansour in a post on X (former Twitter). “AI now makes that possible in a day. I love how frontier our growth team is.”
Mansour also commended the team for taking the idea from conceptual stages to a finished product in a short amount of time.
“Our team went from idea to implementation in less than 48 hours,” he added.
The TV spot, titled “The World’s Gone Mad,” features several reporters interviewing sports enthusiasts and asking them who they are betting on to win this season and if the price of eggs will go up.
