FanDuel highlights RG initiatives during Problem Gambling Awareness Month

Key Points
- FanDuel stated the new programming is designed to expand access to RG education while continuing to raise the visibility of problem gambling resources
- The operator is also donating $150k to the NCPG, which will further support the Council’s Agility Grants program, funded by the NFL via the NFL Foundation
FanDuel has recently launched a number of new responsible gaming (RG) programming in an effort to expand access to RG education while continuing to raise the visibility of problem gambling resources.
The operator expanded upon its relationship with well-known radio host Craig Carton to launch The Comeback with Craig Carton, a new FanDuel TV show that will focus on problem gambling recovery. FanDuel is also adding new resources to its Trusted Voices: Conversations About Betting program that originally debuted during 2024.
“FanDuel remains steadfast in its commitment to leading the industry in responsible gaming, and we are proud to introduce industry-first content and programs designed to destigmatize problem gambling and offer education on responsible play,” FanDuel SVP of Public Policy and Sustainability Cory Fox said.
“Our new FanDuel TV show with Craig Carton, expanded Trusted Voices program and investments in education and advocacy are part of our year-round commitment to responsible gaming, and we look forward to continuing to offer innovative products and programs to our customers.”
The Comeback features Carton sitting down with those who have experienced the highs and lows of gambling addiction to amplify their stories, break down the stigma surrounding gambling disorder, raise awareness of support resources and show that recovery is possible.
Good to know: The FanDuel sportsbook at Mohegan Sun will be hosting multiple Kentucky Derby events this year in celebration of the well-known race, including live shows and prizes for guests running from May 1-3
Updates to the Trusted Voices program include new resources for college students, their parents and university staff from KnowYourPlay, co-developed by ROGA in partnership with Epic Global Solutions, Kindbridge Behavioral Health and the Responsible Gambling Council.
FanDuel will be donating $150k to the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG), which will further support the NCPG’s Agility Grants program, funded by the National Football League (NFL) via the NFL Foundation.
The program provides funding to non-profit organizations across the country for problem gambling prevention in areas that currently have no services or ways to expand existing programming.
FanDuel will also make an additional $150k donation to the International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG), which works to help individuals and families affected by gambling disorder and prevent the onset of gambling problems through scientific research and evidence-based educational programming.
