International Game Technology (IGT) has extended its contract with the Tennessee Education Lottery (TEL) for a further nine years.
The contract extension will officially begin in June 2027 and will continue until June 2036.
Under the new agreement, IGT will replace existing terminals with recently launched Retailer Pro S2 terminals.
These will have WinCheck S2 peripherals, which allow the TEL to add new features across terminals state-wide, as well as let players check if they are instant ticket winners.
The central system will also be upgraded to Aurora, part of the Omnia lottery solution, which will facilitate TEL to use Performance Wizard, Sales Wizard, Learning Wizard and Retailer Wizard features.
Rebecca Paul, Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation President and CEO, said, “For more than 20 years, IGT has been a trusted partner to the Tennessee Education Lottery, providing innovative solutions that have supported our consistent growth.
“One of our core missions is supporting educational programs in Tennessee, and since our inception, we have raised more than $7.5bn for our state.
“We look forward to continuing our strong relationship with IGT, whose advanced technology will assist in responsibly increasing both sales and our contributions to Tennessee education.”
Good to know: The TEL sold its first ticked on 20 January 2004 and has been working with IGT ever since
Jay Gendron, IGT COO Global Lottery, said, “IGT has been committed to bringing best-in-class lottery solutions to the Tennessee Education Lottery since its inception.
“Through this nine-year contract extension, we are excited to bring new technological upgrades to the Lottery, providing them the systems and equipment needed to drive performance for its players and the good causes it serves in the state.”
IGT has recently been recertified by the World Lottery Association (WLA) for its social responsibility standards and responsible gaming framework for suppliers.
