IGT granted lottery recertification by WLA

Key Points
- To determine IGT’s recertification, a thorough assessment was conducted into IGT’s lottery operations that resulted in an independent auditor’s report on WLA standards
- These standards include research, employee programs, client awareness, stakeholder engagement and more
International Game Technology’s (IGT) lottery and iLottery operations have been recertified by the World Lottery Association (WLA) in accordance with the Association’s Corporate Social Responsibility Standards and Responsible Gaming Framework for Suppliers.
“WLA’s recertification of IGT’s lottery and iLottery operations validates our responsible gaming industry leadership and our ongoing commitment to providing our lottery customers worldwide with effective responsible gaming technologies,” IGT SVP of Marketing, Communications and Sustainability Wendy Montgomery said.
“Advancing Responsibility is a key pillar in IGT’s Sustainable Play program and serves as a guiding principle for everything we do. We operate with the highest level of integrity to protect our people, products and processes, and this certification endorses those efforts.”
To determine IGT’s recertification, a thorough assessment was conducted into the company’s lottery operations that resulted in an independent auditor’s report on IGT’s alignment with the eight sections of the WLA standards.
These standards include research, employee programs, product and service development, remote gaming environment, advertising and marketing communications, client awareness, stakeholder engagement and reporting.
Good to know: Playtika partnered with IGT on December 20 to bring several of the supplier’s slot titles to Playtika’s social casino games, including Slotomania, Caesars Slots and House of Fun
WLA’s responsible gaming standards, a program for gaming industry operators and suppliers, were created to minimize the impact of problem gambling and confirms IGT’s alignment with WLA standards.
IGT also recently became the first gaming supplier to receive the National Council on Problem Gambling’s (NCPG) Internet Compliance Assessment Program (iCAP) Ready accreditation.
The accreditation is a new version of the original iCAP, focused solely for gaming suppliers, recognising those who uphold responsible gaming standards across their products and services.
