DraftKings to serve as official sportsbook of Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana
The new Cordish Companies’ property is set to open on February 13 and resulted in a construction cost of more than $270m.

Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana has agreed to a new partnership with DraftKings that will see a retail sportsbook location open at the $270m-plus Cordish Companies property on February 13 as part of a grand opening event.
The in-person DraftKings sportsbook was said to be strategically located within the Sports & Social bar and includes an LED media wall, dining options and exclusive gameday events such as DJ performances and competitions.
“Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana will redefine entertainment in the region by offering everything under one roof – from fine dining and live entertainment to top-tier casino games. With the addition of the DraftKings Sportsbook, we are elevating the experience for sports fans, connecting them to a new level of engagement across some of America’s most popular leagues, including the NFL, NBA and more,” Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana EVP and GM John Chaszar said.
“From cheering on the Dallas Cowboys to the LSU Tigers and every team in between, the new retail DraftKings Sportsbook will be an incredibly popular entertainment option for the entire Ark-La-Tex region.”
DraftKings is set to offer popular betting options such as live wagers and player proposition bets for a wide variety of professional sports leagues.
Good to know: Throughout December 2024, Louisiana took in a combined total of $390m in wagers from its online and retail sports betting operators, with retail having accounted for $28.4m

Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana’s opening date is still pending final approval from the Louisiana Gaming Control Board, but is expected to be able to launch on February 13.
