New Hampshire’s December sports betting handle reaches $80.8m

The New Hampshire Lottery has released its December sports betting results. Last month, sports betting statewide brought in an $80.8m handle.
December’s handle rose by close to $2m year-over-year. However, last month’s total fell by close to $7m when compared to November’s results.
Mobile sports betting accounted for $71.6m of the combined December total, while retailers brought in another $9.2m.
New Hampshire saw close to $7.4m in gross gaming revenue (GGR) during the month of December, falling by nearly $5m year-over-year.
Mobile sports wagering yielded a GGR of $5.8m last month. The state’s retail locations earned a GGR of more than $1.6m.
New Hampshire sports betting contributed almost $3.3m in taxes to the state last month.

The state’s total sports betting handle has nearly reached $418m during the last six months.
During the current fiscal year, New Hampshire’s mobile sports betting operations have generated nearly $36.9m in GGR, while its retail sites have brought in more than $3m.
Traditional land-based casinos are currently illegal in New Hampshire. However, the state allows its venues to offer players table-based and machine-based games that are connected to local charities.
The current law on the books allows charities statewide to partner with charitable gaming operators, if they do not exceed ten gaming dates per year.
Since the US Supreme Court overturned the federal ban on sports wagering nearly seven years ago, 38 states along with the District of Columbia have opened legal sports betting markets.
Online gaming is currently legal in seven states, including Pennsylvania, Delaware, Nevada, New Jersey, Rhode Island, West Virginia and Connecticut.
