Games from suppliers including Kalamba, Booming and Playson will be available. Legendz also incorporates several features into its gameplay, such as early payouts, as well as a selection of exclusive mini-games called Legendz Originals.
Players are awarded sweepstakes coins which can be redeemed for prizes or used for future play.
On the partnership, Head of Hub88 Ollie Castleman said, “With sweepstakes booming in popularity, especially in the US, we are thrilled to announce this collaboration with Legendz, a brand that we are certain will quickly make headway in the social casino space.
“The partnership underlines the versatility of our content, being as appealing when played for free as for real money.”
Legendz Managing Director Charlie McMaw added, “This partnership allows us to give our players access to the best social casino experience through Hub88’s world-class platform.
“It’s about bringing faster, smoother and more exciting gameplay to our customers, while we maintain our commitment to high-quality, entertaining and secure gaming, and Hub88 can support us in achieving that.”
Sweepstakes have been gaining significant traction in the US market as of late, with our January/ February issue of Gaming America set to explore the vertical further. Some recent sweepstakes launches include those by BetMGM and DST, while Tribal gaming regulators met in October to discuss sweepstakes and its impact on the market.
However, despite its popularity, the vertical has faced some challenges from regulatory bodies like the American Gaming Association (AGA). In August, the AGA wrote, “The lack of regulatory oversight presents many risks for consumers as well as the integrity and economic benefits of the legal gaming market through investment and tax contributions,” calling for gaming regulators and state attorneys to investigate such platforms in order to confirm their compliance with laws and regulation.
