In other legal news, it was announced yesterday that Wynn Resorts is facing a lawsuit over its alleged failure to investigate a gambler’s funds.
The lawsuit was filed by Canadian mining company James Bay Resources and its President, Stephen Shefsky, with the claims alleging negligence and unjust enrichment.
The case centres around decathlete David Bunevacz who lost approximately $3.8m at Wynn Las Vegas, with some of the money allegedly coming from personal and corporate loans.
Earlier this month, FanDuel also came under legal difficulties with the company facing a $250m lawsuit by an ex-Jaguars employee.
The individual claims FanDuel encouraged him to keep gambling despite problem gambling warning signs, arguing that the company “exploited his gambling addiction and intentionally ignored its responsible gaming and anti-money laundering protocols.”
